Vancouver police are warning the public that a convicted sex offender who was released from prison Friday still poses a “significant risk” to girls.
David Emlyn Akerman, 69, served a 30-month sentence for two counts of sexual assault and two counts of invitation to sexual touching involving children, police said.
He’s now living in a halfway house in Vancouver.
Police said Akerman must:
- Not contact girls under the age of 16 years.
- Not attend places where children under the age of 16 are likely to be present.
- Report all relationships with adult women to his parole officer.
Akerman is Caucasian, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 166 pounds, with grey hair, blue eyes and a tattoo of the letter A on his right forearm
