Public information and warning: Sexual Offender Released
In the interest of public safety, the Edmonton Police Service is issuing the following warning: Timothy Wayne MATHESON has been released from the Regional Psychiatric Centre (RPC) Prairies after he completed a 4 year sentence for a Sexual offence involving a child.
MATHESON is considered by police to be a Sexual Offender whose criminal history includes Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference. MATHESON clearly poses a risk of significant harm to the community in general and to male and female children specifically.
The Edmonton Police Service is issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation of all related issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public interest to inform the members of the community about MATHESON.
