Public information and warning: Sexual and Violent Offender Released
In the interest of public safety, the Edmonton Police Service is issuing the following warning:
Jason Darren NEST has been released from Bowden Institution where he served ten years for Sexual Assault x 2, Unlawful Confinement x 2, Overcoming Resistance, Utter Threats x 2 and Attempt Anal Intercourse.
NEST is considered by police to be a sexual and violent offender who has committed offences against female children and adult women. He has completed minimal programming and is considered an untreated sexual and violent offender who is a High-Risk to re-offend. There has also been a noted escalation in his criminal behavior as indicated by his latest criminal convictions. NEST clearly poses a risk of significant harm to the community.
The Edmonton Police Service is issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation of all related issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public interest to inform the members of the community about NEST.
