Public information and warning: Sexual and Violent Offender Released
In the interest of public safety, the Edmonton Police Service is issuing the following warning: Harry VANHOGEZAND has been released from the Regional Psychiatric Centre (RPC) in Saskatoon after serving ten years for Break Enter and Commit Aggravated Assault and Disguise With Intent.
VANHOGEZAND is considered by police to be a sexual and violent offender who has committed offences against female children and adult women. He has completed some programming but is still considered to be a High Risk to re-offend sexually and/or violently. VANHOGEZAND clearly poses a risk of significant harm to the community.
The Edmonton Police Service is issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation of all related issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public interest to inform the members of the community about VANHOGEZAND.

White male, 51 years old, 170 cm (5’7”), 105 kg. (230 lbs.)
Brown hair, brown eyes, Tattoos: Bear on right shoulder blade, Eagle on right upper arm, Cross Bones/Harley Wings & Skull on left upper arm.
Members of the public are advised that the intent of this process is to enable citizens to take suitable precautionary measures. Releasing this information is NOT intended to encourage people to engage in any form of vigilante action.
