The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are issuing the following public information and warning in the interest of public safety.
Allan Dale PLAMONDON was released from the Edmonton Remand Centre April 01, 2004 after serving his full 9 month sentence for two counts of Sexual Assault. Allen PLAMONDON has a history of sexually abusing young pre-pubescent females within the Province of Alberta. These offences usually occur while PLAMONDON is in a position of trust over the young victims. This individual represents a significant risk to offend sexually against young female victims and poses a significant risk to the community.
PLAMONDON is a 46 year old white male, 172 cm, 66 kg with blue eyes and short brown hair. He wears glasses and may have a moustache. PLAMONDON recently relocated to the Alcomdale, Alberta area (approximately 40 kms NW of Edmonton, AB.) however the nature of his employment necessitates he frequently travel throughout the Province of Alberta. PLAMONDON is bound by a Probation Order until April, 2007, pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada and must abide by several conditions designed to address community concerns during this Probation period, specifically:
1. PLAMONDON will not be in the presence of any persons (male or female) under the age of 14 years unless accompanied by another adult.
2. PLAMONDON is prohibited from attending a public park, a public swimming area where persons under the age of 14 years are present or can reasonably be expected to be present, or a daycare centre, school ground, play ground, or community centre. He is prohibited from seeking, obtaining, or continuing any employment whether or not the employment is remunerated or becoming a volunteer in a capacity that involves being in a position of trust or authority towards persons under the age of 14 years.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation and consideration of all related issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public interest to inform the members of the community of the presence of Allan Dale PLAMONDON. The RCMP believe that there is a significant risk to the health or safety of the public, and in particular, young pre-pubescent females.
